Editing on Wikipedia an article with the same subject name

Hello,

So i ran into a pickle when i wanted to create an article about a recent singer and songwriter. The thing was that another singer with the same name already existed. How can you create an article that has the same name as another article, that was my question. I’d appreciate if someone has any knowledge on the matter.

Hello Marin,

Technically its impossible to open a new article with the same existing name. So i would suggest to put in bracket nationality of the singer if its different from the existing one, or the year of birth if they have relatively a big gab in age.

If you share the articles maybe i can give you a better explanation

Hey Greta,

Thank you I am going to try and add (singer) in brackets to make it authentic from the older one. The article is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Lacy and i’ll work on the other one now.

They are both singers so nationality maybe would make more sense
