DebConf is the Debian Project‘s developer conference. Debian is the oldest active GNU/Linux operating system distribution.
In addition to a full schedule of technical, social and policy talks, DebConf provides an opportunity for developers, contributors and other interested people to meet in person and work together more closely. It has taken place annually since 2000 in locations as varied as Canada, Finland and Mexico. DebConf’21 was held online and had more than 700 attendees from 80 different countries and a total of over 100 event talks, discussion sessions, Birds of a Feather (BoF) gatherings and other activities.
The 23rd Debian Conference is being held at the Innovation & Training Park ITP Prizren, Kosovo from Sunday 17th to Sunday 24th July 2022. DebCamp will be held 10-16 July 2022.
We are planning of giving around 300 food bursaries, 200 accommodation and 120 travel bursaries, of which 50 travel bursaries are reserved for regional participants. We will do our best to ensure that any regional attendee will get the full bursaries package and make the best out of this conference!
We will be opening the Call for Proposals and the Call for Volunteers pretty soon. Stay tuned and look for future news at https://debconf22.debconf.org/.
Dear friends and hacktivists, there have been questions from folks interested in participating at DebConf22 in Kosovo. I wanted to inform that I’d like to host an info session where you can ask your questions related to it. Anyone that wants help with call for speakers (CFP), traveling or anything else really is free to join so that we help you answer some or all of your questions.
Anyone with or without previous experience in participating in similar events is welcome. Would be nice to have your laptop or we can use the hackerspace laptops with permission.
Help from OL members for having the hackerspace open during the event and confirmation that we can proceed with this would be appreciated.
